Conceptual Plans
Our design plan of this urban project took into consideration three major aspects:
1- Functionality:
The area was treated in the design plan as a series of urban and social nodes. This was due to the site’s special intermediate location where two major commercial streets intersect.
2- Aesthetics:
The design aimed at breaking the severe deterioration in the urban fabric by creating a pleasant and relaxing gathering place. Aesthetics were considered at both micro and macro-scales, for those sitting in the area, and those who see it from outside.
